Hello residents of tri-county Michigan. I am Christopher Gappy, and I have been a pediatric ophthalmologist for nearly 15 years at University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor.

In case you were not aware, Trinity Health and University of Michigan Health entered a joint operating agreement in the fall of 2022 that helped bring C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital physicians to Trinity Health Oakland, located along Woodward Avenue in Oakland County. For many families, this is a significant development. Bringing the world’s leading pediatric experts closer to home allows families to receive elite health care without having to travel great distances to Ann Arbor.

I am happy to now be one of these Mott Children’s Hospital physicians serving patients living in the tri-county area, including Macomb, Wayne and Oakland counties.

Services We Offer

At Trinity Health Oakland, you can expect me and my clinical care team to provide comprehensive vision evaluations, and follow-up care plans for common eye ailments and children living with both simple and complex eye and vision disorders. Specific things we treat include, but are not limited to, eye muscle misalignment, vision issues, tearing, trauma, infections, cataracts, high eye pressure, eyelid disorders, genetic conditions, and tumors of the eye or orbit.

Our services range from short-term treatment for immediate issues, to long-term rehabilitative care and monitoring of visual development in children and adolescent teenagers.
