Joel Phillips, DO, serves as the Medical Director for the Neuropalliative Care Clinic at Trinity Health Hauenstein Neuroscience Center. His focus is on caring for patients and families with serious, life-altering neurologic conditions, including ALS and other neuromuscular disorders, Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, Parkinson’s disease and movement disorders, brain tumors, and multiple sclerosis.
Dr. Phillips graduated from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his neurology residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit and his hospice and palliative medicine fellowship at Grand Rapids Medical Education Partners in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He is board-certified in neurology and hospice and palliative medicine. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology, and is an active member of the International Neuropalliative Care Society.
