    Kristin received her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

    When asked about her philosophy of care, Kristin said:

    "As a DNP-prepared pediatric nurse practitioner, my goal is to improve the health of children in my practice and in communities by working in partnership with families and other health care providers to offer excellent health promotion, disease prevention, and management of health problems."

    Her clinical interests include adolescent preventative health care, the care of children with chronic medical conditions and pediatric health care in resource-poor settings. In her free time, Kristin enjoys traveling, cooking and reading a good book as well as volunteering at her church and with medical missions in Haiti.

    Kristin explained the procedure and what to expect fully. She helped make my child comfortable in what could've been a scary situation because my daughter did t know what to expect

    We are used to seeing the actually Doc and not the Nurse practitioner but overall the visit was fine, just felt disrespected on our choice to opt out of vaccines and were told we should look for another provider that aligns with our beliefs. We have never had any issues with any docs at the practice not respecting our decisions and listening to our reasonings until the appt with the NP. We understand it’s part of the job and vaccines is something they will always talk about and suggest but this is the first time we felt not great walking out of the appointment for something we want for our child.

    We’ve only seen the doctor twice and NP once but I have been very impressed by their knowledge, compassion, time spent talking and understanding and care provided for my kids.
