About
Melanie Taylor, MD, is the Medical Director of the Trinity Health Hauenstein Neurosciences Neuromuscular Program and serves as clinic director for both the ALS and MDA clinics. The ALS clinic is a nationally recognized ALS Association Certified Center of Excellence and a member of the Northeast ALS Consortium (NEALS). She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at Michigan State University.
Dr. Taylor specializes in neuromuscular medicine, including amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), myasthenia gravis, polyneuropathies, muscular dystrophies, and myopathies, and performs electromyogram (EMG) studies. She earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from Michigan State University and completed her adult neurology residency and neuromuscular medicine fellowship at Cleveland Clinic.
She is triple board-certified in neurology, electrodiagnostic medicine, and neuromuscular medicine. Clinical trials are conducted through the Clinical Trials Unit at the Trinity Health Grand Rapids Hospital.
