Program FAQ's

We have compiled a list of frequently asked questions regarding our program. If you have any questions that are not answered, please reach out to our program administrator, Casey Esch casey.esch001@trinity-health.org and she will be happy to assist in providing further information.

  • Supportive culture and environment among faculty, staff, and our co-residents
  • Early operative experience. We love the opportunity to be primary surgeons during C-sections and minor gynecologic cases starting from Day 1. We are also often involved in major cases to gain surgical experience
  • Autonomy over our AOGC residency clinic patients
  • Dedicated time on Thursday mornings for resident education and/or wellness
  • Vacations! With 4 weeks incorporated into the schedule each year
  • Monthly protected wellness time with program planned activities

  • Our program leadership has done a great job to intentionally create an environment in which we feel comfortable reaching out for help or with concerns
  • We have a weekly residency meeting on Tuesday mornings with dedicated time to bring up concerns, questions, or suggestions
  • Our biannual evaluation meetings are another opportunity to bring up concerns or discuss changes we would like to see implemented
