Research Opportunities

As member of NIH Stroke Net, Mercy Health is participating and enrolling patients in the following trials: ARCADIA, ARCADIA-CSI, ASPIRE, SATURN, Sleep Smart, MOST. The stroke fellow will have the ability to function as a sub-PI in order to understand the complexities of clinical trials including trial design, enrollment/recruitment, and importance of conducting randomized controlled trials in future stroke care.   

Resources are available to assist fellows with their projects, including an on-site Institutional Review Board, biostatistics consultation, audio/visual and poster preparation expertise. Support will be provided for the presentation of projects at local, regional and national meetings. The fellow will be encouraged to attend the International Stoke Conference and to present their own project.
