My research interests include surgery and high-risk obstetrics. My professional interests include minimally invasive surgery and DaVinci robotic surgery.
Why I chose to practice at Mercy Health
Being a Michigan native, I have always known the west side of the state was beautiful. However, I never appreciated fully how remarkable West Michigan is until living away. I was always planning to return. As my husband and I are both from the area, we are now able to root our own family here close to home.
I completed residency training in Royal Oak at Beaumont hospital. I was glad to have experience in a hospital with a very large L&D service, have exposure to many deliveries and surgeries, and different ways of practicing. There was a large volume of high risk obstetrics, given the MFM department and training program. I was grateful to have had exposure to working with those patients. A robotic surgery training program with several experienced mentors also helped peak my interest in minimally invasive surgery.
I am excited to be a part of training future generations of OB/GYN physicians. I am excited to see our local hospital grow and develop, and to be able to offer more services over time. I am glad to be a part of the continual growth and development of our department, hospital and training program.
