Why I chose this program/location for my training

I chose Trinity Health Grand Rapids for my Addiction Medicine training to learn from and treat patients in the community I have grown up in. In addition to community ties, I was drawn to this program to learn from the very knowledgable and passionate program director, Dr. Poland, and assistant program director, Dr. Trowbridge. I am very excited to learn from them as they continue to invest in the care of our communities.

Hobbies/what I do outside of work

I enjoy spending time with my family and our pet golden retriever. We can be found in our vegetable garden or farmers markets in the summer. We also enjoy hiking, exploring Northern Michigan and West Michigan beaches.

Why I chose this program/location for my training

I was fortunate to rotate with Drs. Poland and Trowbridge and loved my experience. The diversity of clinical sites within the addiction medicine fellowship and opportunity to pursue my personal interests within the field drew me to this program.

Hobbies/what I do outside of work

I love spending time outside when it's nice out and venturing out to Lake Michigan. My husband and I have lots of pets that we care for and are hoping to start the process of fostering dogs!
